Yet another school book has been found with changes to our Second Amendment rights. A high school in Simpsonville, S.C., is reportedly using a textbook that includes a false definition of the Second Amendment.
“The Second and Third Amendments — grant citizens the right to bear arms as members of a militia of citizen-soldiers and prevent the government from housing troops in private homes in peacetime,”
“the right to bear arms,”
“the right to ‘keep’ and bear arms”
Furthermore, the book clumsily lumps the 2nd and 3rd amendment together implying that the right to bear arms is linked to preventing the government from housing troops during peacetime, which is not the case.
The Third Amendment deals not only with peacetime, but wartime as well, but the book doesn’t mention that.
The Amendment reads
“No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law,”
This indoctrination of our children needs to stop. I would like to take the time to thank the parents for revealing these changes in our children’s curriculum. We need to remain vigilant.
